Cooperativa Regeneration

Social cooperative · Campobasso, Molise

We build institutional bridges between territories, people and nations.

Cooperativa Regeneration is an Italian social organisation working where international cooperation, territorial development, education, culture and integration meet, connecting public institutions, global bodies and local communities to regenerate territories and build a real future.

We are not simply project implementers. We are institutional infrastructure, political coordination, strategic vision and execution on the ground.

Global representation

International legitimacy.

Cooperativa Regeneration is the only social cooperative that is a member of, and holds a seat on the board of, the CIM – Confederation of Italians in the World.

The CIM is today the largest and most relevant confederation of Italians and people of Italian descent in the world, with an institutional presence in dozens of countries and a long history of dialogue with governments, parliaments, Italian regions and international organisations.

A seat on the CIM board means:

  • Taking an active part in shaping global policies for the Italian diaspora
  • Direct access to international institutional networks, municipalities, regions and strategic bodies
  • Acting as a legitimate bridge between Italy, Italian communities abroad and territories undergoing regeneration
  • Turning human mobility, the return to one’s roots and international cooperation into a structured development strategy

About us

A social cooperative with a global vision and local action.

Cooperativa Regeneration is a social cooperative based in Campobasso, in the Molise region of Italy. We develop structural public-private projects that connect:

  • Public institutions
  • International bodies
  • Municipalities
  • Local communities
  • Young people, families and professionals on the move

Our focus is the regeneration of territories, especially small Italian towns, through education, culture, social integration, international cooperation and the real economy.

Our view of the world

Regenerating does not mean bringing people in. It means rebuilding systems.

We believe the future of Italy — especially of regions like Molise — depends on:

New, mindful ways of repopulating
Human mobility with real integration
Education connected to the territory
Structured international cooperation
Culture as a strategic asset
Institutions working together, not in isolation

Regeneration was founded to organise this complexity and turn it into concrete development.

The Cooperativa Regeneration team

Our areas of work

An institutional ecosystem for regeneration.

International cooperation and institutional relations

We develop and coordinate projects between municipalities, regions, international bodies and communities abroad, creating the legal, institutional and operational structures for long-term cooperation.

Repopulation and territorial development

We work with small Italian municipalities on integrated strategies covering housing, social integration, economic activity, services and local culture.

Repopulating does not mean occupying. It means integrating and regenerating.

International education and training

We design educational projects connected to the territory and the real economy, always tied to vocational training, local integration and value returned to the territory.

Go For ITaly and Se Joga na Itália are part of this area.

Roots tourism and culture

We develop roots tourism as a cultural, social and economic policy: reconnecting with identity, returning to one’s origins, meaningful cultural experiences and bringing family stories and places to life.

Integration, citizenship and human mobility

We design welcome and integration models that go beyond bureaucracy: institutional guidance, social and cultural integration, connection with local services and building a sense of belonging.

Real economy and small producers

We connect territories with opportunities by promoting agricultural cooperatives, small producers, traditional know-how and the international exchange of experience and practice.

Projects

The cooperative’s projects.

Each project has its own audience and its own channel. Behind all of them is Cooperativa Regeneration.

A cooperation milestone

The “Ritorno in Italia 2024–2030” agreement.

Signed in Campobasso, Molise, the agreement brings together Cooperativa Regeneration, the region’s mayors and our partner Cidadania4U to build bridges between Italy and millions of people of Italian descent.

The Ritorno 2030 programme aims to create up to one million connections between descendants of Italians and Italian municipalities by the end of the decade, encouraging them to live, study, work and invest in small communities, to counter depopulation and revive local economies and traditions.

The news was covered by the Brazilian press.

For institutions, municipalities and investors

We work on structural projects, not one-off actions.

We develop projects with:

  • A long-term vision
  • Clear governance
  • A solid institutional foundation
  • Measurable local impact
  • Political and social alignment

We work where public interest, social impact and economic development meet.
